Available Positions

Maintenance Mechanic: Repair and maintain production, plant, and building equipment and ensure priorities and schedules are met or problems are addressed. Advise management of needs in areas of control. Observe and evaluate equipment to determine the cause of equipment problems. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. Dismantle, clean, and repair or replace as required. Perform electrical installations on building or equipment. Work with outside contractors as needed. Initiate purchase requisitions for materials. Background to include technical training beyond a High School diploma such as trade school or certification or associate degree with five years related experience and/or training; or technical certification or completion of apprentice program; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.

Design Engineer: Designs products, services, and documentation in accordance with applicable contract requirements and Val-Matic standards for safety and quality. Conducts research and development projects and represents the Company in technical forums. Responsible for developing and implementing assigned Product and Engineering Calculation standards. Plans and implements the necessary tests to verify product performance and safety. Prepares maintenance of drawings, preparation of information for AWWA, UL, FM, NSF 61, ISO and US Government approvals. Prepares technical materials and application suggestions to support company sales. Conducts plant and field investigations under adverse conditions to evaluate product installations and problems. Respond to customer calls or inquiries about technical questions on valve applications. Maintain a current proficiency in AutoCAD and Pro-E. Maintain a working knowledge of mechanical design, test methods, and flow equations for application to valve design. Requires BS degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college; coursework in mechanical design; and 3-5 years of manufacturing industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer: Plans, directs, coordinates and improves manufacturing processes including manual machinery, CNC machinery, assembly, product testing, powder paint, wet paint, material storage and handling, shipping and receiving, plant and office processes and procedures. Analyze and design layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Utilizes engineering resources to provide proficient process routings, machine programs, tooling, tool design, and operation of engineering systems. Programs CNC equipment and robotic welders, and designs both fixtures and tools to be used on those machines in the manufacturing process. Establishes training documentation regarding technical processes and systems, including robotics and man-machine interface. Education and/or Experience: BS degree from an accredited college or university in manufacturing technology or engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree in Engineering or related field is a plus. Ten years of manufacturing experience, expert practical knowledge in PTC Creo ProEngineer solid model design and machining processes, along with highly advanced five axis CNC programming skills and in-depth experience in post processor use and development. Very familiar with AutoCad or other 2D design packages. Proficient in tool and fixture design for manual and CNC machining, welding, and assembly, including design improvements for automation. Familiar with current manufacturing concepts including manufacturing cells, lean manufacturing, waste reduction, kanbans, supplier/customer links, and lead time reduction.

Sales Engineer: Works closely with Regional Manager to manage an established territory. Responds to requests for service and assistance by providing technical assistance to clients relating to use, operation, application, and maintenance of products. Also generates bid proposals by performing take-odds interpreting specifications selecting product and establishing pricing strategies.

Regional Coordinator: Support Sales and sell products for manufacturer to water, wastewater, HVAC and industrial entities. Provide assistance with, pricing product, quoting projects, and interpreting specifications for valve equipment. Provide strong customer support and exercise discretion and sound independent judgment helping to select product for applications through assistance to manufacturers’ representatives, engineers, distributors, plant operators, customers, or other professional and technical personnel. Interpret basic project plans and specifications to develop and help prepare cost estimates. Assist customers and sales in offering solutions to issues. Background to include Minimum of two years’ of similar experience and or a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
