American Society of Sanitary Engineering

The American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE) is a nonprofit organization that is comprised of individual and sustaining members who represent all disciplines of the Plumbing Industry. Its mission is to, in the spirit of its motto "Prevention Rather Than Cure," continually improve the performance, reliability and safety of plumbing systems. The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is an internationally recognized authority on drinking water issues. Manufacturers Standardization Society

The Manufacturers Standardization Society's (MSS) primary function is to provide its members the means to develop engineering standard practices for the use and benefit of the industry and users of its products. The Society, the only organization dedicated solely to the technical needs of the industry, is currently comprised of 25 technical committees to write, revise and reaffirm industry standards. Steve Dalton and Jim Gower are active participants on several MSS Standards Committees and have been instrumental in publishing valve MSS Standards of Practice. John Ballun, P.E. is a Past President of MSS.

The Submersible Wastewater Pump Association (SWPA) is a national trade association representing and serving the manufacturers of submersible pumps for municipal and industrial wastewater pump applications.
