American Backflow Prevention Association

The American Backflow Prevention Association is an organization whose members have a common interest in protecting drinking water from contamination through cross-connections. ABPA is an organization dedicated to education and technical assistance. Through its network of regions and chapters, local needs and interests are supported with the resources of the national organization. ABPA is committed to advancing all aspects of backflow prevention for the continued protection of all water users.

American Petroleum Institute

The American Petroleum Institute traces its beginning to World War I, when Congress and the domestic oil and natural gas industry worked together to help the war effort. The American Petroleum Institute (API) is the only national trade association that represents all aspects of America’s oil and natural gas industry.

American Society of Sanitary Engineering

The American Society of Sanitary Engineering is a nonprofit organization that is comprised of individual and sustaining members who represent all disciplines of the Plumbing Industry. It's mission is to, in the spirit of its motto "Prevention Rather Than Cure," continually improve the performance, reliability and safety of plumbing systems.

Manufacturers Standardization Society

The primary function of the MSS is to provide its members the means to develop engineering standard practices for the use and benefit of the industry and users of its products. The Society, the only organization dedicated solely to the technical needs of the industry, is currently comprised of 25 technical committees to write, revise and reaffirm industry standards.

Valve Manufacturers Association of America

The Valve Manufacturers Association of America is a trade association that represents the interests of nearly 100 North American manufacturers of valves, actuators and controls. Collectively, members account for approximately 80% of the total industrial valve shipments out of U.S. and Canadian facilities. Founded in 1938, VMA is headquartered in Washington, DC.
