Val-Matic was founded in 1966 by Andrew Nuter and Ted Makowan, who were the sole employees of the company for the first year. The company’s corporate headquarters and manufacturing are based in the Chicago suburb of Elmhurst, IL in facilities built by Val-Matic in 1987 and since expanded to over twice their original size.
