Surgebuster^® Check Valve Case Study

Many states have legislation requirements stating that if certified products are available, they must be used in drinking water systems. Val-Matic offers help with Total Air Valve Vault Protection

Val-Matic’s VaultSafe™ Family of Products are designed to help with air valve vault protection ranging from flooding to tampering. The VaultSafe™ Family consists of the FloodSafe™ Inflow Preventer, the FrostSafe™ air damper and the VentSafe™ vent pipe security cage. These products are the first of their kind.

Val-Matic Air Valves Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61

Val-Matic is pleased to announce the certification of its drinking water air valve product line to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for drinking water system components. Val-Matic is the first Air Valve manufacturer to have a complete line of air valves certified to NSF/ANSI 61. Certification was provided by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) after completion of testing and analysis of data.

In most states, legislation requires that if certified products are available, they must be used in drinking water systems.  Therefore, certification provides a strong advantage in the market place.  Verification of certification can be located by visiting UL’s website at www.ul.com.

Val-Matic Valve & Mfg. Corp. has released a new patented system, the FloodSafe™ Inflow Preventer.

The FloodSafe™ Inflow Preventer is the first product of its type that is designed to prevent the entry of contaminated water or other fluids from entering the air valve outlet and subsequently the pipeline.  Preventing contaminated water from entering potable water systems through air valves and vents has long been a concern.  It can happen as a result of flooding or from terrorism.  Now through Inflow Prevention, these access points can be protected just as backflow prevention has protected water systems in the past.  FloodSafe™ is a unique, patented product that is not available anywhere else
